SUPPORT SERVICES

LANGUAGE AND SPEECH SERVICES 
This program provides services to students who have an identified language or speech disability.  Services are provided to students, at the school sites and to county operated programs.
Speech and Language services generally address the following areas:
  • Articulation
  • Receptive and/or Expressive language
  • Fluency and voice
 
NURSING SERVICES
  • Required annual health screenings
  • Health and developmental assessments for special education referrals
  • Staff training in specialized health care procedures
  • Monitor individual student health issues
  • Provide follow-up with medical professionals, classroom staff and families regarding student health concerns
  • Provide health education information to staff and students
 
PSYCHOLOGICAL SERVICES
  • Initial evaluations for special education referrals in designated area of concern
  • Triennial evaluations for special education students
  • Coordination of services and referrals to agencies in support of student educational needs
  • Support to classroom teachers in areas of behavior and instruction
  • Support to families regarding student behavior and social and emotional issues
  • a model of excellence in their field.
