Strong partnerships between education and industry help students connect what they learn in the classroom to the skills, expectations, and opportunities of the workplace.
Tri-County Regional Occupational Program (TCROP) partners with businesses, employers, industry professionals, and community organizations throughout Sutter, Yuba, and Colusa counties to strengthen Career Technical Education (CTE) and expand career-connected learning opportunities for students.

Serve on an Industry Advisory Committee
Share your industry expertise with TCROP educators and regional partners. Advisory committee members provide valuable input on industry trends, workforce needs, curriculum, equipment, technology, certifications, and employability skills to help keep CTE programs relevant and responsive.
Be a Guest Speaker or Career Mentor
Bring careers to life by sharing your professional journey, industry knowledge, workplace expectations, and advice with students. Opportunities may include classroom presentations, career events, industry panels, mock interviews, and mentoring activities.
Host a Workplace Tour or Job Shadow
Give students an inside look at your workplace and industry. Workplace tours and job-shadow experiences allow students to observe professionals, learn about different occupations, and better understand workplace environments and expectations.
Provide Work-Based Learning Opportunities
Partner with TCROP to provide meaningful, career-connected experiences that allow students to apply their learning in authentic workplace settings.
Opportunities may include internships, career mentoring, workplace projects, job shadowing, and other supervised work-based learning experiences appropriate to the program and student.
TCROP works with partners to develop experiences that support student learning while meeting applicable school, safety, and program requirements.
Partner on Real-World Projects
Bring an authentic industry challenge into the classroom. Businesses can collaborate with students and instructors on projects that develop problem-solving, teamwork, communication, technical skills, and innovation while exposing students to real workplace needs.
Support Career Readiness
Industry professionals can help students prepare for the workplace through résumé reviews, mock interviews, portfolio feedback, employability-skills workshops, career panels, and other career-readiness activities.
Support CTE Programs
Businesses and community organizations may support CTE programs through approved donations of equipment, materials, technology, expertise, or other resources that enhance student learning and reflect current industry practices.
