With the 2010 adoption of the California Common Core State Standards in English Language Arts (ELA) and Literacy in History Social Studies, Science and Technical Subjects AND the 2012 adoption of the English Language Development (ELD) Standards, California is leading the charge by being the first state to create a Framework based around these two sets of standards.
