The TPSL program consists of eight courses offered at the Foundational, Intermediate and Proficient Level. Each level meets the 45-hour requirement set forth by CTC. .

The preparation requirements for the first three issuances of the TPSL permit include 45 hours of focused preparation to prepare the permit holder for service as the interim teacher of record beyond 20 or 30 days.

This preparation must be completed in 45 hour increments prior to the LEA's submission of an application.
